Via multiple different drives by using the new improved smart content manager this means that you can utilise different devices and work collaboratively with others while still utilising the same disc space and reducing the demand on local disc space let's look at multiple drive settings first if you've already downloaded the default template packs in the content manager you can find the location where they are stored by right clicking on any item thumbnail and selecting find file in this case the item we checked is currently in the default install location if you go into the content manager settings you'll also see where you can define the default template folder path at the top press the plus key on the right add an additional install folder and note that any future content will be installed to whatever path you define in the drop down in this case I already have one created in the sea drive you can always set it back to the default path by using the reset button but for now let's proceed with our new C drive location so now if I search for content I purchased but not installed yet I can double click on the thumbnail and it will be installed the new location that we just defined and we can apply it as normal.
working your settings in this case our I drive contains the installed content from a different computer however even when we had that installed death the pack thumbnail is still greyed out therefore we need to do is use sync installed assets from the content manager menu which will bring up all the template paths currently defined if your content is not in one of the defined paths you can also input a specific path here as well after sinking you'll see the thumbnail colourized meaning it's now accessible and you can use find file again to cheque the network drive install location once everything is synced you can then apply characters and motions as normal from the content manager the new network drive functionality means that you can collaborate with team mates from anywhere in the world on the same project as long as you have Internet access and it also saves a huge amount of installation space as there is no need to store the content on each local machine to learn more about how you can benefit by using the same account.
